Sentence StructureSimple- My mom went to the groceries store.Compound-My mom walked in the store, and bought flowers.Complex-My mom got mad even though they were three dollars.
Compound/Complex- My mom liked them, since my dad was happy, but not too happy.

Figurative LanguageSimile- That car is as colorful as a rainbow.Hyperbole- I'm so tired I could sleep for a year.Onomatopoeia- "OOHHHH!" The cowboy said.Metaphor- Your a horse.Alliteration- Slim the snake slurped slimy slushes.Personification- The snowflakes fought to get to land on the table.
